Second Interview Results

Published by slcolman under Life in General Edit This

Well, it seemed like the second phone interview yesterday went pretty good.  I was asked to complete a formal application and get it in to them on Monday morning.  I also was sent all the information on the hows and wheres of obtaining licensing to become an insurance agent, that part seems a little daunting with the studying and testing process.  I also absolutely would need a good laptop with wireless Internet capabilities and out here that would mean yet another type of Internet service provider with so so access.  A lot to consider and a lot of “start up” costs which aren’t just laying around.  However; it really looks like it could be a great opportunity not only in that it is work from home with travel, much less physically demanding, and there is a large senior market in this region so the earning potential is mostly limited by how hard I am willing to work.

At this point I think that I am going to move forward with the application process, it can’t hurt to do it and see if I get a formal job offer.  After we see what happens with that then we can see about the licensing and such, or at lest I hope that it can work in that sequence and not that the application sits and waits while I get the licensing taken care of.

It is a lot of travel not just for the job itself if and when I were to get it, but also for the testing then the in office training and then finally for field training.  Right now with all the health issues I have going on I don’t know how realistic that kind of travel really is for me.

A lot of questions still and a lot to contemplate.
