Lack of Respect?
I got called about 30 minutes before I was scheduled to be in to work up at the cafe today… I was told that I wasn’t needed and that I didn’t need to come in. So annoying! I swear that people have no respect and caring anymore.
Yes, I realize that I can’t work as hard as I once did up there and that I am in pain. However, I need the $$ that comes from working even if it is just 4 hours at a time. Things are tough all over. Why can’t people realize that and share the hours just a little?? Very frustrating! But then again I guess we live in a me, me, me world?!
Last night I made DH his favorite comfort food dinner - steak, oven baked hand cut steak fries with fry sauce, and corn on the cob. We had the steaks and the corn in the freezer and they needed to be used so it wasn’t any extra cost. He works so hard trying to make sure that things are taken care of and that we have the money to pay the bills and I wish so much that I could do more to help with the situation. I feel useless and worthless a lot of the time lately. I know that it is because of the lay off from the cafe/hotel and the health stuff, but know why doesn’t make me feel any differently. It just seems like everything I touch goes wrong…
Yes, it does sound like you have had some rough times lately. It’s not easy, but try to focus on the positive. Things will get better.

30 minutes notice is rude. I hope things go well on your interview. Is it a work from home job?
