When Stupidity Starts To Be Funny?

So, I came into town today with DH.  I had to go to the OBGYNs office to have some routine blood work drawn.  I even had an appointment to get the blood draw.  I know shocking that I was even back at that doctors office to begin with, but what can I do… I have to take the Metformin for my PCOS and without the blood work they will not give me the prescription.

Anyhow, I get to the doctors office and sign in.  Yes, they have me down as having a blood draw appointment.  I think - cool this might go smoothly.  I try to relax in the waiting room until my name gets called.  After about 10 minutes the lady comes out and calls my name, she then takes me back and gets set up to draw my blood - Oh joy!!  LOL - Not!!!  Then she looks at her form and looks puzzled.  I ask if there is a problem?  She goes well kind of the doctor didn’t put down what tests needed to be done just that you needed to have tests ran and to have you scheduled for an appointment to do so.  I look up at her just dumbfounded.  She tries to find the doctor but he isn’t available, so she starts looking through my chart to see if she can’t figure out from previous entries what tests need to be ran.  She looks really annoyed and I ask her if there is anything I can do to  help.  She politely tells me no, that this happens all the time and she is just annoyed that it is an ongoing problem.  I am sitting there thinking - OMG this doctor totally sucks!!!  After a few minutes she decides that we are  just going to draw blood to test liver function since that seems to be what I had done the last time I was in for routine blood work.  I am a hard stick and she did a great job which I am very thankful about, but geez this doctor needs to get his act together!!

I do know that he can be a good doctor though as he is the one who diagnosed my PCOS and got me on the medication that helps with it, and he is the doctor who did my emergency D&C when things were going very very wrong.  I also know that he can be a not so great doctor as he misdiagnosed a problem with my MIL and she ended up having to go down to another specialist in Denver to get the help that she needed, and that because of that her treatment was delayed which caused a whole other set of issues including carry over of the infection to my FIL since they didn’t know that was the problem due to the misdiagnosis.

Honestly I am  beginning to feel like my life is some comedy act that I am stuck in and can’t get out of!!
