I Just Don’t Get It!?
I called the doctors office again today and spoke with a nurse again. It is crazy to me that it has been a week and a half since the latest CT scan results were deemed abnormal and that the previous ones were needed. Even crazier that it appears that it took them that long to actually get the previous CT scans copied onto disk and hopefully sent out - well at least that is what they are telling me. Somebody obviously dropped the ball. Who that somebody was, I do not know nor do I even care at this point. I just need to know what is going on so that we can work on a plan to reduce if not end this pain. I was informed that it will most likely be the beginning to middle of next week before we have a report with the comparison. Fine whatever, just get it done. I mentioned that the pain medication is not helping much and according to the nurse my options are go to the ER or schedule an appointment with the doctor. WTF??!! It has been over two weeks since I first saw the doctor and I have seen him twice already isn’t that enough to just call me in a different prescription? I mentioned the lack blood work and the nurse said that it is scheduled for the beginning of March but she would see if the doctor wanted to move that up…
I do not have the words needed to express how this whole situation makes me feel. I feel like I do not matter.
I have been good so far and have not gone on-line to research and look for answers on my own, only because DH requested that I don’t. I am about to tell him to shove it on that one though, and go figure this out on my own. The only thing holding me back is that I don’t have a clear report from the latest CT scan and the doctors office is not being clear as to what has actually been seen. I have been told a cyst or calcification has been seen in the kidney - OK, which is it as those are two totally different things. I have been told that my lower back and hip are degenerating and that I have scoliosis - OK, which is it as those are two totally different things. At this point I get told something different each time I ask what they saw on the CT scan. Just too many questions that are not getting answered…
