From Huskies To Husbands

I got home from town today to find that our refrigerator/freezer is having problems!!  The stuff in the freezer was starting to thaw so I hurried up and put them into the deep freeze out in the garage.  We put a call in to a friend who works on heating and cooling systems as a business and hopefully he will be able to help DH diagnose the problem over the phone then get the parts or whatever is needed and get out here in the next few days!!  I hope that it is something fixable as we really don’t have the extra funds to purchase a new refrigerator right now, and I really love the design of my refrigerator and they don’t make it anymore.  It is a side by side that is wide at the top for the refrigerator portion and narrow at the top for the freezer portion then narrow at the bottom of the refrigerator portion where the drawers are and wide at the bottom for the freezer with ice and water on the door.  I really hope that we don’t lose everything in the refrigerator, like all the condiments and such!!  UGH I don’t even want to think about the expense of replacing all of those type things.

So very frustrating!!!!  Especially since this is a top of the line Maytag refrigerator that is only about 5 years old.  Since when do major appliances only last 5 years??  Well my Maytag dishwasher was a total piece of junk and died pretty much after only about 2 years, and the Maytag gas range we had at the other house started falling apart in about the same time frame… I thought that Maytag was a good quality name brand.  I think that I must have been misinformed!

Refrigerator problems are the suck
