Super Sunday?

Well, I do plan on watching the Super Bowl.  Not for the actual football but for the commercials!!  I hope that I am not disappointed as I even have my 3-D glasses at the ready.  LOL  Yeah, I am a little nuts for the Super Bowl commercials.

The Boot Camp Challenge that I was participating in over at SparkPeople finished up yesterday.  I am not totally happy with my results, but at least I did make some progress.  In 4 weeks I lost 3 lbs and a total of 4 inches combined from my neck, thighs, bust, belly and thighs.  Not too bad, but not what I was hoping for to be honest.  Considering that I began a fitness program consisting of 10 minutes of strength training 6 days per week and a minimum of 5 days per week with at least 30 minutes of cardio type exercise along with eating in my calorie range, the results are far from stellar.  However, I have to remember that I have PCOS which makes losing weight really hard due to all my metabolic issues and I have IBS which causes me not only a huge amount of pain at times but also digestive issues.  So, once I take those factors into account I am much more pleased with my results.

I promised myself that if I stuck to this Boot Camp Challenge and completed it that I would get a heart rate monitor as a present to myself.  I think that even though I did miss the one day during the 4 weeks that I did in fact complete the program.  I missed that day due to being very ill, but in allowing myself that one day off I think that I actually saved the program because if I had pushed my body that day I was so ill that I would have ended up needing more time off to recover.  I proved to myself that I can exercise, and that I even enjoy it some of the time.  So the mission was accomplished and the reward will be had - just not sure when!  LOL
