From Huskies To Husbands

Weird title, huh?  But indeed that is what is hanging in my kitchen window, an upside down tomato plant. It even has ripe fruit and growing fruit along with blossoms even now in the dead of winter here in Wyoming!  Shocking I know.  I use a set spray on the blossoms so that they get pollinated and set the fruits.  No, it doesn’t keep me in tomatoes year round.  But, it is a living piece of green in my home which does wonders to lift my spirits since gardening outside even in summer is not too successful in Wyoming.  My DH hopes to be able to help me with that this summer though.  He keeps telling me that he will build me a greenhouse which I really would love to have.  I love to garden and grow things.  I love the feel of my hands in the dirt.  There is something special about eating something that you yourself have grown with love and care.  Or with giving a gift of blossoms which you have grown instead of buying at the store.

I tried unsuccessfully to add my photos of my beloved plant numerous times but our satellite internet keeps giving me errors when I try so go look up upside down tomato plant on yahoo image or some other similar site to get an idea if you would like!
