From Huskies To Husbands

I definitely felt that way today!!

I had to call the car dealership (in another state mind you) about the car making a weird noise that is possibly the power steering pump going out.  While finding out that yes I can bring it in tomorrow whenever I get there, and trying to get them to give me a quote for if that is what is wrong I found out that they couldn’t tell me if it was covered by our extended warranty.  So, next I have to find the number for that company and the VIN on the vehicle and call them.  I finally get through to a live person after what felt like forever and find out that yes that is covered and we would only need to pay the deductible if it was all fixed on one “ticket”.  OK finally some good news.  However, the dealership doesn’t have a factory power steering pump on hand and they can not order one until they know 100% that is what is wrong.  And based on what DH told me to tell them they think that it could be something more than just the power steering pump.  Oh did I mention that the dealership is in Colorado and we live in Wyoming so like a 2 to 2 1/2 hour drive if the weather is good and that we only have the one car?  Yeah, so I get to get up at 4 am tomorrow and go in to work with DH (which is about 1/2 way) and then drive across the mountain to the dealership.  So, what happens if they need to keep it?  How do I get home?  How does DH get home?  How does DH get back to work?  How do I get back to the dealership to get the repaired vehicle?  Yeah, lots of questions… And during that long drawn out process DH keeps calling me from work irate about the whole process taking so long, which doesn’t help me to be able to focus and handle things at all.  So, I end up a crying mess for a little while because of how he is handling things.  Oh, and did I mention that he had a tantrum about all of this and broke his cell phone in the process too?  Yeah, so now he has to go check them out tomorrow at the store and then decide if he wants the super nice one I found on-line that is on a great deal from our cell phone carrier.  Then today while I was working on my freelance stuff my monitor starts acting weird and flickering, and about the same time my actual computer began making some weird noises of its own.  I hope it is just the monitor, but I have a feeling it isn’t!!    As you can probably guess a computer is not something I can live without!!  Ummm can you say “when it rains it pours”?  Needless to say money was tight to begin with because of Christmas and now it is even tighter with the whole lay off from my job then add in all of this and I am just beside myself!
