Not Going to Let This Get Me Down!

Published by slcolman under Uncategorized Edit This

Instead of wallowing at home alone all day while DH was at work today, I took a friend to get signed up for food stamps and whatever DFS could do to help him out.  Our friend is 65 years old and can’t get hired basically due to his age.  He would work if he could find it but he just can’t find it.  So, after his landlord faxes in a paper he should be all set up!  I also picked up paperwork about the program Wyoming has to help with heating costs.  DH and I will look it over and see if we qualify.  If we do it would help with making ends meet while I am figuring out and building up work.  Since we were at the courthouse I took care of the title and tags on the new to us truck we purchased literally 2 days before my lay off from my job.  It was cheap enough to do since it is just a beater pick up, but it runs and will fit the need for its purpose which was just running me up to work in town and for DH to go hunting in.  DH had been saving up some money to be able to take me out to dinner without me knowing about it, and he gave me the cash to bring home Thai food which is one of our favorites.  Tonights dinner should be nice and easy too!  :)

I didn’t get my Christmas cards worked on last night still!  We ended up going over to the in laws after dinner and hanging out with the relatives.  I swear our little niece is just too much fun.  I love her to death, but she makes me miss my godson in Germany!

Also, I have been kicking around the idea of going back to school.  Pharmacy School to be exact.  I would get to go for 1/2 price since DH is an employee of the university and really it could be a great opportunity.  More on that as I do my research and see if it is even a real possibility.

It really felt good to get out of the house and do something to help someone else out today!
